Tryout times have been rescheduled. Updated dates and times are listed below. We encourage everyone to be at tryouts as it helps us build more evenly-skilled teams. However, we understand this rescheduled date may not be ideal if you have previous plans. If you are not able to make it this year, we understand.
Masks are required for all people entering the park. This includes parents, guardians, coaches, and players. Please follow social distancing recommendations.
If your child, or a family member, has symptoms, please do not attend.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a glove, bat, and batting helmet. This is an outdoor tryout so please dress for the weather. Baseball attire such as baseball pants or uniforms are not necessary, but players can wear them if they want. Capital Credit Union Park is a turf field. Players can wear plastic cleats if they want, but it’s not required. Regular athletic shoes will also work. Metal cleats are NOT allowed.
Please have players come ready to throw, field, hit, and run. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide warm up time before the tryout. We recommend doing some warm-ups before coming to the park.
PARENTS / GUARDIANS: Parents or guardians should escort their children in and out of the park. Only players participating in the active tryout session along with coaches helping to operate the tryout will be allowed on the field. Parents should remain in the concourse area above the seats while tryouts are running. Please communicate a meeting location with your child before sending them down to the field for tryouts. Also, please ask children to leave the field when they are done. There will be a lot of people coming and going so we are asking parents and guardians to exit the park as soon as their child’s tryout is complete.
PLAYERS: Please remind players to be good listeners, and to pay attention to instructions from coaches and volunteers. They should be ready when their turn comes up. Also, please remind players to be safe with their equipment, especially bats. Bats should NEVER be swung, except during the batting portion of their tryouts.
During the tryout, coaches will be looking to evaluate fielding, throwing, hitting, and running skills. Players may be asked to field a few ground balls and pop-ups, make a few throws, run some bases, and take a short batting session of about 5-10 pitches.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the event we have inclement weather and need to cancel tryouts, a cancellation notice will be sent by email and posted on our Facebook page.
WHY WE HAVE TRYOUTS: Remember, we do not use tryouts to determine eligibility. All players will be assigned to a team. Coaches use the tryouts to help draft even-skilled teams.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TRYOUTS: After tryouts are complete, coaches will complete a draft process to select teams in the weeks that follow. After rosters are finalized, they will be added to our website. League coaches will likely be reaching out with introduction emails the week before practices begin. Weather permitting, practices are scheduled to begin on Mon, Apr 12 for Single A players and Tue, Apr 13 for Double A and Triple A players.
